Today, I close the door to my past… Open the door to the future, take a deep breath and step on through to start the next chapter in my life.
I bid farewell to Faridabad Small Industries Association (FSIA) as it's longest serving President (10 years) and General Secretary (13 years).
Farewell to the Platform I nurtured and served for 23 years, Platform of my passions, of my service to the Community of Small Industries; a Community whose misfortunes have invoked not just my sympathies but feverish work to ensure corrective measures - whose frustrations I sought to quell - whose intelligence I prompted to a lofty aim - whose growth has been my dream always.
I continue to be the Acting President till a new one is duly elected. I remain committed to support FSIA whenever required, while I wish Next Generation of Technopreneurs to assume responsibility to lead in these ever and much faster changing times!
I heartily thank all FSIA members, friends, critics and competition for continuous engagement. I haven't seen a moment in the last 23 years without positive work and thoughts for you. You made every moment worthwhile, for you've been the reason for my being there for such a long time. While many are saying it's early to call it a day, I want to confess a secret, the main reason for my decision... "It's lonely at the Top".
I shall continue with IamSMEofIndia to serve the world of Small & Medium Businesses and Entrepreneurs, Start-ups and "Make in India- Serve from India" Movement.
IamSMEofIndia evolved from the fertile nursery bed of FSIA, and which, today, has grown into an International-level Institution to become a One-Stop Solution Centre for MSMEs. With Chapters and members spread across various cities and ever-growing Projects from Credit Facilitation Cell, Payment Recovery Cell to the next generation and futuristic i-ReDe Centre for New Technologies & E-Commerce, my hands are full and there's so much more to do.
I remain indebted to FSIA and commit to serve its members always as First Priority. Because, IamSMEofIndia started initially to provide services to FSIA members and soon spread it's wings to serve MSMEs, not only just in Faridabad, or in India, but even across the globe.
Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?
'Cause its perhaps not easy.
How lucky I am to have something that makes saying Goodbye so hard.
To quote Shakespeare,
"And whether we shall meet again I know not.
Therefore our everlasting farewell take:
For ever, and for ever, farewell, friends!
If we do meet again, why, we shall smile;
If not, why, then this parting was well made. "
