New challenges for Exporters

New challenges for Exporters

Sanitary and Phyto-sanitary (SPS) measures and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) have been announced by various countries during the month of May 2015 for implementation.
While the customs tariff globally is coming down these SPS and TBT measures being adopted by various countries are becoming a major challenge for the Indian exporters in accessing international markets.

Challenges for Exporters

During May 2015 approximately 224 SPS and TBT measures were announced by the WTO member countries. The numbers are quite substantial and we need to gear up to face the challenges.

We need to remain alert and raise our difficulties appropriately to seek remedial measures.

Please send us your feedback if any of the SPS or TBT measures listed in the newsletters or otherwise are affecting your market access so that we can take them up through the concerned authorities.
