Draft Inspection Policy ready- Suggestions Invited

In a bid to streamline and simplify the process of inspection of the units/industries the Haryana State Pollution Control Board has prepared guidelines for following Inspections required under the laws:

The inspections of the industries are being done for the compliance of the provisions of the following environmental laws/ Rules:- 

  1. The Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act,1974. 

  2. The Water, (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Cess Act,1977. 

  3. The Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act,1981. 

  4. The Environment (Protection) Act,1986 and following Rules made there after:- 

    1. a)  The Hazardous Wastes (Management, Handling and Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2008. 

    2. b)  The Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemicals rules, 1989. 

    3. c) The Biomedical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules,1998. 

    4. d)  The Plastics Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2011. 

    5. e)  The Municipal Solid Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2000. 

    6. f)  The Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000. 

    7. g)  The Batteries (Management and Handling) Rules, 2001. 

    8. h)  The Public Liability Insurance Act, 1991

Before finalization of these draft guidelines of inspection, suggestions have been invited. We should send our suggestions, specially related to Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, immediately.

We request our members to please download the Draft Inspection Policy from the link below, Study it and send us their suggestions immediately so that we can compile and forward to the Haryana State Pollution Control Board.
