Self-Certification of electrical installations by the owners upto 33 KV voltage

The Government of Haryana has introduced self-certification of electrical installations by the owners upto 33 KV voltage level vide Power Department notification No. 6/21_016 2P dated 16.02.2016. 

The owners of the electrical installations of voltage level of 33 KV or below may now get their installations inspected and tested by the Chartered Electrical Safety Engineers authorized by the State Government, and self certify their installations before commencement of supply as required under regulation 43 and for periodical certification of the existing installations as required under regulation 30 of the Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electric Supply) Regulations, 2010, as amended from time to time. 

The Power Department has authorized 209 engineers as Chartered Electrical Safety Engineers from whom the owners may get their installations inspected and tested for the purpose of self-certification. The list of these 209 engineers is hosted on the website (www.haryana.gov.in/departments/cei.html). 

Members are requested to kindly make a note of the above and guide themselves accordingly.
