ZED Rating (Zero Effect Zero Defect) is gaining huge significance.
There are many direct and indirect benefits and Subsidy upto 90% besides all the respect your unit deserves. Many Private large OEMs, Corporates, PSUs are making it mandatory for their Vendors and Suppliers.
However, many MSMEs have been shy of applying for ZED ratings because they often miss one or more of the following three critical compliances: 1. CTO 2. Factory License 3. Fire NOC
We have been taking up this issue with the Government and its agencies and highlighted the difficulties faced by 95% of MSMEs. Even though many manufacturing MSMEs are Green, Energy Efficient and Non-polluting, they fear they'll not be able to get the ZED Rating, just like they couldn't get CTO or Factory License due to lack of approved Land Use or building plan or any other document required for CTO or Factory License. Therefore, 95% MSMEs have been missing out on ZED Rating, it's subsidy and related incentives and benefits so far.
We are pleased to share and clarify that ZED Rating (Bronze) is available for Manufacturing MSMEs along with its subsidy and incentives even if a unit doesn’t have CTO/ Factory License/ Fire NOC etc. based upon declaration and assessment, subject to meeting with actual parameters of ZED, not just compliance certificates. Thereafter, such units can target for higher Ratings like Silver and Gold, as and when they meet with other requirements of these higher ratings.
Therefore, even units in non-conforming areas can get the ZED Rating.
